Dr. Ekrem ARIKAN Shared Key Insights at the PostTrade 360° Conference
MKK CEO & Board Member, Dr. Ekrem ARIKAN shared key insights at “Geopolitics and Post-Trade: FMI Resilience and Systemic Risk Management” panel at the PostTrade 360 Conference in Stockholm, Sweden.
Dr. ARIKAN highlighted that in an era of permanent change and unprecedented uncertainties, resilience must transcend simple risk policy to become an embedded organizational culture and character. To navigate this new landscape, Central Securities Depositories (CSDs) must evolve beyond traditional financial infrastructures into foresighting market intelligence entities. By leveraging data and corporate governance solutions, CSDs are uniquely positioned to bolster the resilience of all market participants, not just their own operations.
Dr. ARIKAN also underlined that, addressing growing geoeconomic conflicts requires common platforms like the World Forum of Central Securities Depositories (WFC) to take on a more formal, influential role in establishing global standards and unified agreements across the FMI ecosystem.
